David Flatley BSc (Hons) FRICS

Born in York, David attended the University of Wales before pursuing a career as a Chartered Surveyor by joining the Valuation office in London in 1976, moving to the Loughborough Valuation Office in 1979. He subsequently spent 3 years in private practice in Coventry, moving to Leicester in 1984 before joining Sturgis Shattock and Partners in 1994.

With a wealth of experience, David’s main roles at Sturgis Snow and Astill include Portfolio Valuations, Landlord and Tenant matters and the preparation and settlement of Schedules of Dilapidations, representing clients in court when necessary. He also has experience of acting as an expert witness to the court in valuation and dilapidations matters.

A keen photographer, David spends other leisure time tinkering with a vintage Land Rover.

Kevin D Skipworth BSc MRICS

Born in Lincolnshire and having spent 15 years in Sheffield and a brief period in Manchester, Kevin moved to Leicester in 1992.

Kevin has dealt mostly with commercial property throughout the North of England and the Midlands, but with experience throughout the UK.

Kevin's main roles at Sturgis Snow and Astill include Agency, Valuations, Landlord and Tenant matters and Rating Appeals.

He is Secretary to the East Midlands Branch of the Industrial Agents Society and a member of the Rotary Club of Leicester De Montfort.

W Mark Simpson FRICS

Mark was born in Leicester and spent 10 years working locally at two firms of Chartered Surveyors before moving to Snow and Astill in 1987.

Mark's main roles at Sturgis Snow and Astill include Commercial and Residential Agency, Valuations, Homebuyers Surveys and Property Management.

Mark also has expertise in the rating of Licenced premises enabling him to cover a wide area across England.

He is an accredited SAVA Surveyor and is a keen golfer. Mark's other interests include tennis and rugby.

David Sturgis BSc FRICS

Born oversees, David was educated in Kent and London and spent his early career in the public sector in Kent and Leicestershire, moving into private practice in Leicester in 1987 before setting up Sturgis Shattock and Partners in the city in 1990.

David’s main roles at Sturgis Snow and Astill include Development, Agency and Landlord and Tenant matters.

He is a Trustee of the Friends of New Walk Charitable Trust and a Director of ProCon Leicestershire and counts skiing, table football and live music amongst his leisure activities.
